Clear stale SSH sessions on Cisco NX-OS without cycling the entire SSH feature unless a deeper SSH process fault is confirmed.

Identify the stale session
Show logged-in users
show users
Clear only the affected line:
Clear a stale line
clear line pts/12
Replace pts/12 with the actual line shown by show users.
Verify SSH server state
Check SSH server
show ssh server
Avoid cycling SSH as the first fix
The legacy workaround disabled and re-enabled the SSH feature, which interrupts SSH management for all users. Clear the affected line first and only restart/cycle SSH during a controlled recovery when evidence points to the server process itself.
